They've taught me

they've taught me how to walk,
they've taught me how to speak,
they've taught me how to eat
with most proper things.

they've taught me how to laugh,
they've taught me how to tease,
they've taught me how to deal
with the saddest things.

but what they haven't taught me
that life without suffering is worth a living.

what they haven't taught me is
most things come in a package.

But without it, I am a nobody.
